The Hive Theatre Company is seeking a creative, organized and collaborative Costume Designer/Wardrobe Supervisor to join the production team for You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown. This role is responsible for designing, sourcing, organizing, laundering, and maintaining all costumes for the production from pre‑production through performances.
Key ResponsibilitiesMust have full availability for the duration of the production process.
- Design and source all costumes
- Attend designer run
- Attend production meetings
- Attend dress rehearsals
- Set up dressing rooms, ensuring all costumes are labeled, organized, and maintained throughout rehearsals and performances
- Set and execute a reasonable laundry schedule, ensuring costumes are delivered in time for each performance and tech/dress run
- Be reachable for repairs or urgent costume needs over the performance run
- Be in charge of striking costumes, giving them a final wash, and delivering them to their TBD final home
- Fulfill any additional ongoing requests related to costume design and wardrobe aspects of the production
- Adhere to all program policies and safety guidelines, ensuring a positive experience for all participants

1099 Stipend:
Negotiable based on availability and scope of experience.
- Previous experience in costume design and wardrobe supervision
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple costume pieces, fittings, and deadlines simultaneously
- Ability to source costumes creatively and work within a production budget
- Basic sewing, alteration, and costume repair skills
- Ability to plan and execute costume laundry and maintenance needs throughout rehearsals and performances
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Passion for theatre and creating a positive, supportive environment for artists and participants
