Position: Project Coordinator - The Lot Next Door

The Lot Next Door is an outdoor public art project and theater production led by Dorchester Weather Theatre Ensemble. The project includes an ensemble‑devised play (The Lot Next Door) inspired by community stories, neighborhood history and explores questions around development, displacement, and environmental justice. The full production will premiere August 28-30, 2026.

The project coordinator will support the day‑to‑day operations and public‑facing coordination of the project.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinating scheduling logistics, RSVP and attendance tracking, supply and food orders, and set‑up/break‑down coordination for meetings and events
  • Coordinating project timelines and task management across project areas to keep deadlines, deliverables and team communication organized
  • Supporting meeting facilitation through note taking, follow‑up communication and next steps
  • Coordinating marketing, outreach and public communications
  • Supporting permitting and administrative coordination in collaboration with project leadership
  • Tracking expenses, receipts, reimbursements and maintaining organized project records and documentation

This is an ideal role for someone who is organized, proactive, collaborative, and excited about working at the intersection of arts, neighborhood engagement, and public space.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with:

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple moving pieces
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to follow through independently while working collaboratively with a team
  • Comfort using spreadsheets, shared documents, email, and project tracking tools
  • Interest or experience in arts administration, project management, event coordination, theatre production, public art, or neighborhood‑based work
  • Familiarity with Dorchester or community‑based arts work is a plus
