Dental Assistant Supervisor & Infection Control Coordinator Summary
Under the general supervision of the Chief Dental Officer and Dental Office Manager, the Dental Assistant Supervisor & Infection Control Coordinator provides direct supervision to all Dental Assistants and Dental Outreach Staff, including the development of schedules. The role also involves assisting the Dentist during examinations and procedures, maintaining sterilization and infection control protocols, performing dental radiology, and recording treatment information in patient records.
ScheduleMon, Tues, Thurs & Fri: 8:00 am – 6:00 pm;
Wed OFF. Evening and Saturday coverage may be required.
$29.65 – $33.56 per hour. The pay range represents Health First’s good faith estimate for this role at the time of posting, in compliance with applicable laws. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, education, skills, internal equity, market conditions, and budget considerations.

Required Qualifications- Successful completion of a Dental Assistant program at an accredited institution and a Massachusetts Dental Assistant license (CDA preferred).
- Minimum two years of supervisory experience in a dental setting.
- Community health or dental background required.
- Experience with Epic Wisdom or another Electronic Medical Record required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required.
- Bilingual (English, Spanish/Portuguese) preferred.
- Completion of continuing education credits mandated by professional boards, licensing agencies, or credentialing organizations as applicable.
- Submission of a CORI check and proof of being free from disqualifying information.
- High level of customer service and a positive approach to working with patients, ensuring a positive experience for the department and the health center.
- Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner and in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Ability to work accurately, independently, and efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to maintain an organized work area and collaborate as a member of a team.
- Excellent oral, written, and time‑management communication skills to effectively communicate with patients.
