Geriatric Faculty

Baystate Health is a not-for-profit, integrated healthcare system in western Massachusetts which consists of an academic medical center, three community hospitals and the region’s largest multispecialty group. Our flagship hospital, Baystate Medical Center, is home to the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School-Baystate. We are seeking an experienced Geriatrician to join our staff.

• Join the Division of Geriatric Medicine which consists of 3 physicians and 4 advanced practitioners at the first age-friendly health system in the U.S., as recognized by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement.
• Candidates will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to grow and develop the inpatient geriatric program at Baystate Medical Center, a 700+ bed academic medical center in Springfield, MA.
• See a wide variety of cases and patient types on our consults-only inpatient service; the ideal candidate also has an interest in geriatric trauma surgery consults. Leadership is committed to your professional satisfaction and work/life balance – no call, nights, or weekends.
• Enjoy a combination of clinical care & teaching with a faculty appointment to UMass Chan Medical School-Baystate. Clinical research and QI/safety projects are available and encouraged. In addition to geriatric fellows, you will have the opportunity to teach residents, medical students, and other learners.

The compensation ranges in the table below represent the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range.

Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.

Geriatrics MD: $215,000 - $320,000
