Job Overview

Seeking a Board‑certified or Board‑eligible, fellowship‑trained non‑invasive (non‑interventional) cardiologist to join our established Cardiology Division, seeing both outpatients and inpatient consults.

The busy outpatient practice serves a large patient base and offers extensive outpatient testing, including 3‑D echocardiography, nuclear stress testing, cardiac CT, and Holter monitoring.

The cardiologists also see hospital consults on a weekly rotating basis and are qualified to interpret EKG, Holter, echocardiograms, and cardiac stress tests. There are 3 cardiac nurse practitioners in the hospital.

We round at Saint Anne’s Hospital, which offers EKG, echocardiography, Holter monitoring, nuclear stress testing, ICU, and cardiac telemetry, along with cardiac catheterization and coronary interventions. Charlton Memorial Hospital, 5 minutes away, offers electrophysiology, open heart surgery, and structural interventions, but we do not routinely round there. Inpatient duties include consults from our Hospitalists and may require placement of temporary pacing wires, management of CHF, dysrhythmias, acute myocardial infarctions, and acutely ill cardiac patients.

Our group is a 160‑provider, physician‑owned multispecialty practice located in Fall River, Massachusetts, and is an affiliate of the Steward Health Care Network. In addition to 40 primary care physicians, we represent various medical and surgical specialists, with laboratory and imaging capabilities.

The salary is competitive and commensurate with training and experience. Physicians are eligible for corporate bonuses and partnership. Moving expenses, health insurance, vacation, CME expenses, and a 401(k) plan are included.

Fall River is located 20 minutes from Providence, RI, an hour from Boston, and a half‑hour from Cape Cod and Newport, RI. The area offers diverse living environments, including cities, beaches, farms, and suburbia.
