A well-established cardiology practice is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to join a team of Board-Certified Cardiologists providing inpatient cardiovascular care at a leading regional hospital in Fall River, Massachusetts.
Position OverviewThe PA will serve as a member of the inpatient cardiology rounding team and will work under the supervision of a cardiologist to provide comprehensive care for hospitalized cardiac patients.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate new inpatient cardiology consultations
- Provide follow-up care for hospitalized cardiac patients
- Manage care for interventional cardiology patients before and after procedures
- Coordinate inpatient and post-discharge care plans
- Communicate effectively with Hospitalists, Primary Care Providers, and other members of the healthcare team
- Participate in the supervision of cardiac stress testing (training available if needed)
- Contribute to a collaborative, multidisciplinary care environment
- No participation in the acute STEMI emergency team
- No cath lab scrubbing responsibilities
- Hospital-based role focused on inpatient cardiology care
- Three 10-hour weekday shifts
- Rotating weekend daytime coverage approximately every fourth weekend
- Excellent work-life balance with a predictable schedule
- NCCPA Certification
- Knowledge of cardiac diagnoses, procedures, and medications
- Prior inpatient cardiology experience
- Physician Assistant experience is preferred but will consider a new graduate with a cardiology background.
Compensation commensurate with experience, training, and level of clinical expertise.
