BCIS Kindergarten & Grade 1 Jumpstart Summer Program – Teacher Assistants
Location:
Hyannis, Massachusetts.
Starting Date:
Aug. 3, 2026.
Position Type:
Part-time (Summer program). Positions Available: 4.
Salary:
Up to $17 per hour.
Program Goal:
Students entering BCIS kindergarten and first grade will be invited to participate in a summer session to prepare these students and their families for kindergarten and first grade, school routines, expected behaviors, supports available, and allay fears.
- Assist with the introduction of incoming kindergarten students to the classroom setting, routines, and expectations.
- Assist with modeling expected behaviors in the classroom.
- Assist with the delivery of age-appropriate activities.
- Ride the school bus in the morning and afternoon with students to model expected behaviors on the school bus.
- Report to school administration (through Principal and Program Coordinator).
- August 3, 2026 – August 13, 2026.
- Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am – 1:00 pm (5 hrs/day).
- 2-hour orientation.
- 42 total hours.
- Appropriate certification and/or educational background.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa requirement.
