Minimum 1+ years special education experience required.
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team near Holland,Massachusetts. This full-time position is focused on working in an elementary-level Autism classroom. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing high-quality educational experiences to students with special needs and have the necessary skills to support their unique learning journeys.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to the needs of students in the Autism classroom.
- Deliver instruction in a way that is engaging, differentiated, and supportive of students individual learning styles.
- Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and support staff to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Utilize evidence-based practices to support the social, emotional, and academic growth of students.
- Regularly municate with families and caregivers to provide updates on student progress and involve them in the educational process.
- Participate in IEP meetings, team planning sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Must hold valid Special Education certification in Massachusetts.
- Experience working with students with Autism and implementing ABA strategies is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of special education laws and best practices.
- Excellent munication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
