Position Type: Full-Time, 12 Months
Landmark School seeks a detail‑oriented, student‑centered Student Progress and Performance Coordinator to support the organization of student progress and ensure that each student receives the necessary academic support. The Coordinator serves as the primary creator of student plan information and the liaison between students, families, classroom teachers, and associate directors, ensuring seamless communication and alignment of services.
Each Coordinator will oversee a caseload of students, manage academic paperwork, facilitate communication among stakeholders, complete assessments, and share all data in a clear, consistent format. This role requires strong organizational skills, an ability to build trusting relationships with families and educators, and a deep understanding of special education processes.
This position reports to the Director of Student Progress and Performance and plays a critical role in ensuring that students receive the individualized support they need to thrive. The Coordinator will collaborate with the Elementary–Middle School Student Progress and Performance team under the direction and oversight of the Associate Director.
Key ResponsibilitiesIEP Management & Compliance
- Write all IEPs, student goals, and profile paperwork for all students in all assigned grades.
- Prepare and manage academic documentation (e.g., student plans, IEPs, term reports, testing) in accordance with state and federal special education regulations.
- Ensure all goals, accommodations, and modifications are clearly communicated to teachers and implemented effectively.
- Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records and documentation for student progress monitoring.
- Serve as the academic point of contact for families, ensuring open and transparent communication regarding student progress, support plans, and accommodations.
- Share assessment data with families in a clear and consistent format, providing insights into student growth and areas for further development.
- Conduct check‑ins with families to address concerns, answer questions, and provide guidance on student support services.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure they have the necessary information and resources to implement and monitor goals and accommodations.
- Coordinate with grade‑level teams to ensure consistency of implementation and family communication.
- Provide guidance to educators on student‑specific needs and progress monitoring strategies.
- Collaborate with the associate directors regarding reporting, standardized testing, progress monitoring, and family communication.
- Participate in cross‑campus collaboration to ensure consistency across departments and campuses.
- Contribute to the growth and development of the Student Progress and Performance team.
Experience & Expertise
- Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field (preferred).
- Experience with student plan development, special education compliance, and student progress monitoring.
- Strong understanding of standardized testing protocols and accommodations.
- Experience working directly with students, families, and educators in a school setting.
- Highly Organized & Detail‑Oriented – Manages a large caseload, tracks deadlines, and ensures timely completion of paperwork.
- Effective Communicator & Relationship Builder – Maintains strong partnerships with families, teachers, and other members of the Student Progress and Performance team to support student success.
- Student‑Centered & Solution‑Oriented – Focuses on understanding students’ needs while fostering collaboration between all stakeholders.
- Data‑Literate & Process‑Minded – Understands student assessment data and communicates it in a meaningful way to families and educators.
- Collaborative & Supportive Team Member – Works seamlessly within the Student Progress and Performance team to ensure consistency and quality of student support services.
