Status: Part-Time (.7 FTE, 28 hours/week) Part-time

Mission and Background

Landmark School is committed to empowering and educating students with language-based learning differences through a pioneering and innovative approach. Our goal is to enable each student to reach their full potential in education and life through highly individualized teaching and support. Landmark is a coeducational, multi-campus, approved Massachusetts Chapter 766 Private Day and Boarding school enrolling students in grades 2-12 diagnosed with dyslexia or another language-based learning differences (LBLD).

These fall under the broader category of specific learning disabilities (SLD). Landmark’s unique, individualized approach empowers students to reach their academic and social potential.

Summary

The Counseling Department at Landmark School is looking for an experienced clinician to join our team as a part-time school counselor/clinician at the Elementary-Middle School at the beginning of the  academic year.

Key Responsibilities

Direct service for students: Includes psycho-social evaluation of students referred for counseling, emergency assessments, short- and long-term individual therapy, teaching psycho-educational/social-emotional classes, guidance of faculty in class content related to social-emotional development, as well as consultation with parents and faculty/staff.

School Milieu/Outreach/

Collaboration:

Includes referral to and collaboration with outside health providers if needed, participation in IEP and Disciplinary Meetings when indicated, participation in age/grade-specific or school-wide initiatives that support students’ holistic well‑being, and consultation with parents and families of students when indicated.

Program development: Includes development of curricula for group sessions and education of school personnel regarding psycho-social issues of students and the LBLD population.

Administrative tasks: Includes documentation and maintenance of records in accordance with guidelines developed by the Counseling Department at Landmark School.

Requirements
  • Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field
  • Licensure such as LICSW, LCSW, LMHC, School Adjustment Counselor, or School Psychologist
  • Proficiency with digital information management systems, including Google Suite
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of language-based learning differences

The expected salary range for this part-time position is $43,000–$50,000 annually
. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s skills, relevant experience, education, and alignment with Landmark School’s pay framework for internal equity. In addition to salary, Landmark offers a comprehensive benefits package for eligible employees.
