YOUR IMPACT

The Special Education Teacher will provide specialized instruction and support to students in substantially separate classrooms serving students with Autism and Social Emotional Impairments at a charter school in the Fall River area. There are currently openings across Grades K8, and candidates with either a Moderate or Severe Special Education license are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities include developing and implementing individualized learning plans and IEPs, monitoring and assessing student progress, and collaborating with educators, related service providers, and families to support students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth.

The ideal candidate is a licensed Special Education Teacher who is comfortable working with students with high needs and is passionate about making a meaningful difference in their livesty.

WHAT YOU NEED:
  • Valid Massachusetts Teaching License with Special Education (Moderate Disabilities) certification
  • Eligible to teach in MA through DESE
  • Bachelor's degree required;
    Master's preferred
  • Designs & delivers individualized instruction for students with disabilities
  • Knowledge of MA Special Education laws and IEP development
  • Classroom experience Monday-Friday, structured setting
  • Experience with students who are nonverbal, on the autism spectrum, prone to tantrums, runners, or wheelchair bound preferred
