Safety Lead – Responsibilities- Participate in and help facilitate site safety committee meetings and actions.
- Participate in/complete risk assessments and JSPs as assigned by site HSE (Process, Behavior, PPE, etc.).
- Complete various site HSE floor activities/inspections, including: spill control/storm water inspections; hazardous/universal waste storage area maintenance, transportation, and inspections; fire extinguisher/emergency exit/emergency lighting inspections; eye wash/shower station inspections; first aid/AED station maintenance and inspection; spill kit supply maintenance and inspections; emergency response drills; annual audiometric testing coordination; and secondary container labeling audits.
- Conduct lockout/tagout procedure audits/edits, LPA safety audits, and other HSE/BBS audits.
- Assist HSE and safety committees in investigations of accidents or near-miss reporting and document in incident databases.
- Assist with maintaining floor waste/scrap locations, transportation, and logs/HSEDM reporting.
- Participate in New Hire Safety Orientation sections as assigned by site HSE, and assist with HSE-related floor toolbox trainings and training records.
- Participate in/reinforce Consequence Thinking/Zero & Beyond training and conduct forklift training or recertification as needed.
- Assist with maintaining HSE information on TIER Boards and with ISO 14001 initiatives.
- Perform other HSE-related activities as assigned by site HSE.
- Production floor experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Forklift Operator experience.
- Passion for safety.
- Experience training other operators.
- Associates degree preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience working in EHS preferred.
- $2,500 Stay Bonus ($1,250 after 6 months; $1,250 after 1 year)
- $125 Yearly Boot Allowance
- Performance-Based Hourly Pay
- Shift Premiums: $1.50/hr (2nd shift); $2.25/hr (3rd shift)
