Position Summary We are seeking a Senior Electro-Mechanical Technician to lead advanced assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of complex electro-mechanical systems. This role plays a key part in prototype builds, process improvement, and supporting engineering with design feedback to ensure high-quality, manufacturable products.
Key Responsibilities Perform advanced assembly of complex electro-mechanical systems, including wiring, harness fabrication, PCB integration, and mechanical builds
Interpret and work from complex schematics, drawings, and technical documentation
Conduct advanced testing and diagnostics using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and specialized test equipment
Troubleshoot system-level failures and lead root cause analysis efforts
Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to implement corrective actions
Lead prototype and first article builds, providing feedback on manufacturability and design improvements
Review and validate work instructions, BOMs, and assembly documentation
Recommend and support process improvements and documentation updates
Qualifications
Associate degree or technical certification in electronics, mechatronics, or related field (preferred)
Minimum 5 years of electro-mechanical assembly or system integration experience
Expert ability to read and interpret complex schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings
Proficiency with advanced assembly and diagnostic tools (torque tools, soldering, crimping, precision measurement, oscilloscopes)
Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical principles (AC/DC systems, grounding, EMI/RFI, shielding, circuitry)
IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, J-STD-001 certifications preferred
Experience in regulated or high-reliability industries (aerospace, medical, defense, robotics)
Familiarity with root cause analysis tools (5 Whys, Fishbone, Pareto)
Experience supporting NPI and prototype builds
Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and digital work instruction platforms
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PMPay:
Up to $32.00 per hour (based on experience)
