We are seeking a Quantum Error Correction Specialist (QEC) for a company that designs and develops energy-efficient Quantum Processing Units (QPUs) for innovative quantum computing systems. As the organization scales toward fault tolerance, the Quantum Error Correction (QEC) team is expanding.
Their mission is to develop hardware-tailored codes, design fault-tolerant logical gates, develop decoders, and analyze experimental data to build logical error models. The company is looking for a QEC Specialist / Team Lead to drive the team's roadmap and bridge the gap between theory and hardware.
Technical Leadership- Build and maintain the QEC roadmap in alignment with strategic hardware milestones.
- Supervise the team’s scientific work, benchmark QEC performance, and maintain simulation libraries.
- Actively generate IP, review QEC patent requests, and contribute to grant proposals.
- Represent the company and collaborate with external partners.
- Supervise, support, and develop the skills of team members.
- Propose and monitor task schedules in collaboration with project managers.
- Participate in the recruitment and interviewing of new talent.
- Education: PhD in Quantum Physics, Quantum Information, or equivalent.
- Experience: 5+ years in quantum error correction, with prior managerial experience or a strong desire to step into a leadership role.

Skills:
In-depth knowledge of quantum information theory, strong interest in experimental physics, and programming skills for data analysis and simulation (Python).
