Trade Reconciliation & Compliance Analyst

About the role

We're looking for a Trade Reconciliation & Compliance Analyst on behalf of our client. This is a 6‑month contract. You will support trade reconciliation and SOX compliance operations across natural gas, power, renewables, and capital management desks at one of the largest energy companies. You will be the administrator of SOX compliance workflows for contracts and amendments.

• Capture trades into the SOX application and execute the end‑of‑day recaps and reports.
• Verify positions, monitoring daily value at risk and other risk‑related measures.
• Reconcile broker and other external statements associated with transactions.
• Provide management with daily profit and loss and pricing information.
• Handle electronic funds sources and other clearing transactions.
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative research to support small‑to‑medium special projects.
• Help design and modify processes for continuous business improvement.
• Support the development and execution as needed of the trade‑capture platform in close collaboration with the IT team.

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting.
• Experience developing ad‑hoc reports using SQL and Power BI.
• Experience creating Excel‑based ad‑hoc reports and automating them with macros.
• Ability to balance analysis with clear communication and problem‑solving.
• Ability to communicate proposed solutions to management.
