Consultant - Valuation

BRG Transaction and Valuation Opinions provides valuation services in support of transaction opinions, portfolio valuation, tax and financial reporting, litigation, and special situations including restructuring and bankruptcy support. Our clients include leading hedge funds, private equity funds, venture capital funds, limited partners, lenders, corporations, boards of directors, independent directors, and attorneys.

• Technical
  :
  Analyze historical and projected financial information; develop detailed financial models to value companies and complex securities; direct junior staff in model development; efficiently manage large data sets in Excel; leverage financial and market data platforms such as Capital IQ and Bloomberg; present thorough valuation analyses to clients; experience with option pricing models (Black‑Scholes) and/or Monte Carlo simulation preferred.
• Quality
  :
  Consistently meet client deadlines and quality expectations; maintain an organized, methodical, and professional demeanor; take ownership of work product and analyses produced by junior staff; demonstrate exceptional attention to detail.
• Communication
  :
  Communicate project status and results internally and externally; manage deadlines of tasks undertaken by junior staff; demonstrate strong report‑writing skills.
• Teamwork and Leadership
  :
  Participate in team environment and collaborate to share responsibilities toward team goals; seek opportunities for practice‑development projects and personal leadership skill development.
• Business and Personal Development
  :
  Participate in BRG’s business development activities, client meetings, and presentations; expand your network to become a trusted advisor.

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Three to five years of prior valuation work experience, preferably with a national accounting firm or valuation firm.
• Experience as a key team member leading the development and completion of client‑ready valuation deliverables.
• Significant progress toward an ASA designation or a similar designation is favorably considered.
• Legal right to work in the United States (no sponsorship).

Salary range: $90,000 – $160,000.
