We are searching for a talented candidate for Advanced Practice Practitioner in Medical Weight Management.

Hours:
Part-time 32 hours - 8am-5pm (Mon/Tue/Thu/Fri, off Wednesdays)

Shift: Day - no weekend, holiday, or on-call

Fall River, MA

Responsibilities
  • Under the general supervision and direction of the Physician, Office Manager, or designee, and working collaboratively with patients and families (as defined by the patient), perform episodic illness visits and follow-up care visits [preventative care] which may require laboratory testing, radiology testing and/or immunizations.
  • Formulate diagnosis based on clinical assessment and establish an appropriate/ timely treatment plan.
  • Select and order appropriate medication for treatment of medical conditions.
  • Review diagnostic tests and procedures ordered, as it relates to follow-up care.
  • Utilize an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and other related software to update and/or access patient information, as appropriate.
  • Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
Qualifications
  • Physician Assistant:
    Bachelors Degree in a related field is required. Graduate of an A.M.A.

    -approved Physician Assistant program is required.
  • Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Physician Assistant is required. Nurse Practitioner:
    Masters of Science Degree in Nursing is required.
  • Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Nurse Practitioner is required.
  • Current MA registration is required.
  • Nurse Practitioner Certificate/Physician Assistant Certificate is required.
  • Current MA or RI Nursing License or Physician Assistant License is required.
  • Must have previous NP/PA experience working in an ambulatory setting, preferably primary care.
