Surgical Technologist - Local​/Internal Traveler

Position Overview

MTM Staffing, brought to you by Southcoast Physician's Group, is hiring an experienced Surgical Technologist for our in‑house traveler team.

• 11‑13 Week Assignment, with option to extend for 1 additional 13‑week assignment if available
• $55/hr
• Health Insurance and 403B retirement plan eligible

• Hours:
  
  40 hrs
• Shifts:
  
  Day Shift with weeknight, weekend and holiday on‑call rotation.
• Area Assignment:
  Main Operating Room

* During assignment, may be asked to float to any Southcoast Hospital:
Charlton Memorial‑Fall River, St. Luke's‑New Bedford and Tobey‑Wareham

Position reports to the Manager or designee. Perform various duties including but not limited to: provide assistance to surgical team during the intra‑operative phase, provide aseptic, safe, appropriately equipped and functional surgical environment. Responsible for OR preparation, instrument supply and assembly, maintenance of sterile fields, hands‑off instruments and initiation of counts throughout procedures. Perform Surgical Technologist duties including on‑call duties as needed or required.

• Completion of 4 years of high school plus additional specialized courses or training.
• Graduation from an approved Surgical Technology Program.
• Certified Surgical Technologist credential administered by a nationally recognized surgical technologist certifying body accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies and recognized by the American College of Surgeons and the Association of Surgical Technologist.
• Certification in Basic Life Support.
• One (1) year of Surgical Technologist experience.
