The Activities Assistant supports the implementation of daily activity programs designed to promote resident engagement, cognitive stimulation, socialization, and overall well‑being. This role works closely with the Activities team to create meaningful experiences that enhance quality of life for residents in a skilled nursing setting.
Position Type: Full Time Temp
Salary Range: $16.00 to $18.00 / hour
Schedule: Tuesday – Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the implementation of scheduled daily activity programs and special events.
- Support group and one‑on‑one activities tailored to resident interests and abilities.
- Encourage resident participation while maintaining dignity and respect.
- Prepare activity materials and set up/clean up program spaces.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming activity environment.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary staff.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in long‑term care, recreation, or senior services preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable.
