As an Overnight Individual and Home Support worker you will be assisting Consumer in a variety of ways that enable them to live independently in their community. Tempus takes a person‑centered approach to all services.

$20 an hour, Thursday and Friday, 12:00 a.m.–6:00 a.m., every other week over two weeks.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADL) tasks, including dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Perform cleaning duties throughout the home: dusting, wiping counters, sweeping, vacuuming, dishes, bathroom disinfecting and floor washing.
  • Wash, dry, fold, and store laundry, bedding, and towels.
  • Assist consumer with administering and taking daily medications.
  • Plan and prepare meals in consultation with the consumer, create grocery lists within budget, and encourage healthy choices.
  • Shop for household supplies and keep a timely replacement system.
  • Operate assistive equipment, including motorized and manual Hoyer lifts, motorized wheelchair, adjustable bed and bed rails, and automatic door openers.
  • Report all suspected incidents of consumer sexual abuse, physical abuse, and neglect to the Disabled Person Protection Commission (DPPC).
  • Track time on ISS shifts at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Complete objective report writing and update a task sheet for each shift in the communication log.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or designee.
Qualifications
  • Prior experience as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) or Intake and Housing Support (IHS) a plus.
  • Hoyer lift experience required.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • 2‑day orientation at the Stoughton office.

  • Familiarity with community services and independent‑living philosophy.
  • Empathy and the ability to relate to people with disabilities and help them maximize their lives.
  • Resourceful problem‑solving in complex situations.
  • Strong communication, organization, and writing skills to update logs and reports.
Education & Certifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience serving people with disabilities.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
  • This position is performed in the consumer’s home and local community.
  • Physical demands include sitting, standing, walking, using hands to grip, and reaching.
  • Regular verbal and auditory communication required.
