Compensation
Hiring Range: $27.90 - $61.79 per hour. Final offer may vary based on experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations. Sign‑on bonus $5,000 to $10,000 available; details discussed in recruitment process.
Major Responsibilities- Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.
- Appropriately documents all care activity performed and charges in the hospital EMR system.
- Participates in hospital and departmental performance improvement activities.
- Demonstrates competency in utilization and maintenance of arterial blood gas machines.
- Demonstrates competency in proper setup and utilization of all mechanical ventilators.
- Demonstrates competency in proper setup and utilization of the V60 NIPPV.
- Demonstrates competency in proper setup and utilization of all High Flow Oxygen Therapy systems.
- Demonstrates competency in the disinfection, transport and setup of all non‑disposable equipment.
- Adheres to the Hospitals’ Standards of Behavior.
- Completes all hospital and department annual competencies.
- Complies with established departmental policies, procedures and objectives.
- Attends meetings, conferences and seminars as required or directed.
- Demonstrates use of Quality Improvement in daily operations.
- Complies with all health and safety regulations and requirements.
- Respects diverse views and approaches, demonstrating Standards of Respect and contributing to a professional, tolerant, civil and accepting environment for all employees, patients and visitors.
- Maintains regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
- Performs other similar and related duties as required or directed.
All responsibilities are essential job functions.
License, Certification, Education- Must be a graduate of an AMA approved school of Respiratory Care.
- Licensed in the state of Massachusetts in respiratory care.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification for Healthcare Providers (BLSHP).
- Maintains CEUs in accordance with the regulation of licensure in the state of Massachusetts.
- Stand – 2/3 of time.
- Walk – 2/3 of time.
- Sit – 1/3 of time.
- Talk or hear – 1/3 to 2/3 of time.
- Uses hands to finger, handle or feel – 1/3 of time.
- Push/pull – 1/3 to 2/3 of time.
- Stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl – 1/3 of time.
- Reach with hands and arms – 2/3 of time.
- Up to 10 pounds – 1/3 of time.
- Up to 25 pounds – 1/3 of time.
- Up to 50 pounds – 1/3 of time.
- Up to 100 pounds – 1/3 of time.
- More than 100 pounds – 1/3 of time.
- Work near moving mechanical parts – 1/3 of time.
- Fumes or airborne particles – 2/3 of time.
- Toxic or caustic chemicals – up to 1/3 of time.
