This Cath Lab Technologist position is based in Fall River, Massachusetts, a historic mill city set along the beautiful Mount Hope Bay. Fall River offers a welcoming, close-knit community with the added benefit of easy access to larger metropolitan areas. You are within a short drive of Providence, Rhode Island, and can reach Boston in about an hour, allowing you to enjoy major cultural events, dining, sports, and entertainment while still living and working in a more relaxed, affordable setting.

The nearby South Coast region and Cape Cod provide abundant options for coastal recreation, including beaches, boating, fishing, and scenic walking and biking trails. Within the city, you will find a revitalized waterfront, local restaurants, historic sites, and community events that reflect Fall River’s rich maritime and textile heritage. The area offers a blend of urban amenities and natural beauty, making it appealing if you value both professional growth and a satisfying lifestyle outside of work.

The hospital features a modern cardiac catheterization laboratory designed to support a broad range of diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. You will work with advanced fluoroscopy systems, digital imaging, and hemodynamic monitoring equipment in a setting that emphasizes patient safety, high-quality outcomes, and evidence-based practice. The cardiology service line is supported by experienced interventional cardiologists, nurses, and technologists who value collaboration, professional respect, and continuous learning.

As a Cath Lab Technologist, you will be an integral member of the cardiac care team. Your typical day may include preparing the lab and equipment, reviewing patient histories, setting up supplies, and ensuring adherence to all safety and infection control standards. You will participate in diagnostic coronary angiography, percutaneous coronary interventions, and other vascular and cardiac procedures according to your competencies and the lab’s case mix.

Responsibilities may include scrubbing to assist the physician, circulating to manage supplies and maintain workflow, and monitoring hemodynamics and patient status throughout the procedure. Patient acuity is typically moderate to high, reflecting a mix of elective and urgent cases. You can expect to work closely with colleagues from cardiology, emergency services, and intensive care to coordinate care for patients with complex cardiac conditions.

Depending on the lab structure, you may rotate through various roles during the day (scrub, circulate, monitor) to support a flexible and well-rounded team. The cath lab generally maintains a manageable patient volume per day, allowing staff to focus on quality, safety, and patient education. Shifts are usually structured as daytime schedules with participation in an on-call rotation for nights, weekends, and holidays to cover emergent cases such as STEMI activations and other urgent interventions.

During on-call hours, you will respond promptly to emergent needs, working with a focused, highly coordinated team that is accustomed to fast turnaround times and high‑stakes decision‑making.

The hospital environment encourages ongoing education and skills development, with opportunities to gain exposure to more advanced procedures as the service line evolves. You will be supported by leadership and peers who understand the demands of cath lab work and value a culture of mutual support, professionalism, and shared commitment to excellent patient care.
