Travel Mammography Technologist

Fusion Medical Staffing‑Radiology is seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist for a 13‑week travel assignment in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts.

Required Qualifications
  • One year’s experience as a Mammography Technologist
  • Current state license in compliance with state regulations
  • Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current ARRT Certification
  • Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position
Essential Work Functions
  • Explain procedures to patients and answer questions.
  • Position patient appropriately for imaging procedure.
  • Maintain medical‑imaging equipment, ensuring machines function properly and the procedure room is organized for safety and efficiency.
  • Monitor image quality during procedures, adjusting as needed to achieve diagnostic accuracy.
  • Collaborate effectively with radiologists and healthcare teams as necessary.
  • Follow hospital policies, safety regulations, and infection control procedures.
  • Practice infection prevention through hand hygiene, use of PPE, and isolation precautions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice for Mammography Technologists.
Required Essential Skills
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language.
  • Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills.
  • Physical Abilities – must be able to remain in a stationary position, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend.
  • Interpersonal Skills – must work effectively with a variety of personnel, presenting a positive attitude and professionalism.
  • Technical/Motor Skills – must grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment.
  • Mental Requirements – must cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure; work under close supervision occasionally, and work without assistance from other personnel; handle irregular activity schedules and sustain continuous concentration to detail.
  • Sensory – must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate.
