SAH Mammography Technologist

SUMMARY

Provides health care services to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Performs radiographic and mammography procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner.

• One to three years of experience preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of radiographic procedures, equipment operation, radiation safety, positioning techniques, and patient transfers.
• Good communication skills and ability to handle multiple tasks/projects.
• Ethical and professional conduct.
• Understanding of age‑related developmental issues of pediatrics and geriatrics.
• Flexibility to work overtime, on‑call duty, and weekend rotations.
• Interest in participating in orientation/clinical education of student radiographers per clinical education center guidelines.

• Graduate of a Certificate Program in Radiography or an Associate in Science Degree.
• Certification by ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) in radiography, or equivalent.
• Licensure by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in Radiography.
• BLS required.
• For recent radiologic technology graduates: ARRT registered certification eligibility in Radiography with RT(R); must obtain registered certification within 12 months of hire and prior to the expiration of a temporary Massachusetts DPH Radiologic Technologist Radiography license.

Pay Range: $39.88-$58.77
