Hiring for a Medical Assistant in Westborough, MA

Pay
: $28/hr

Must be nationally certified.

Schedule
: M-F 8 hour shifts - 8:30am-5pm.
Role Description

• Assists providers with dressing changes using sterile techniques.
• Performs phlebotomy, EKG’s, immunizations, and injections.
• Maintains and cares for equipment and environment according to JCAHO requirements.
• Maintains the oversight of a lab tracking system within the unit
• Assists with the orientation of new staff members as well as training of appropriate staff for the implementation of new tests and/or procedures
• Responsible for more complex procedures/job duties.
• Performs all other related duties to maintain the operational integrity

Requirements:

• 2+ years’ experience as Medical Assistant
• MA diploma or certificate from school; active national certificate strongly preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology
• Familiarity with managed care plan requirements
• Excellent Customer Service skills
• Strong leadership skills
• Strong communication, interpersonal and team building skills
• Ability to exercise judgement in dealing with sensitive, confidential information
• Operational, problem solving and decision-making skills
• Proficient with office software packages such as word processing, spreadsheets and database management
• EMR experience highly preferred
