Summary
Provides health care services to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Performs radiographic and mammography procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by a licensed practitioner. - Perform radiographic and mammography procedures and related techniques, producing images for interpretation by a licensed practitioner.
- Assist in diagnosis or treatment through radiologic imaging.
One to three years of experience preferred, but not required.
Required Qualifications- Knowledge of radiographic procedures, equipment operation, radiation safety, positioning techniques, and patient transfers.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects.
- Ethical and professional conduct.
- Good understanding of age‑related developmental issues of pediatrics and geriatrics.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed, on‑call duty, and weekend rotations.
- Interest in participating in orientation/clinical education of student radiographers in accordance with clinical education center guidelines for radiologic technology programs.
Graduate of a Certificate Program in Radiography or Associate in Science Degree. Certification by ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) in radiography, or equivalent.
Licensing- Licensure by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in Radiography.
- BLS required.
- For recent radiologic technology graduate only: ARRT registered certification eligibility in Radiography with RT(R); must obtain registered certification within 12 months of hire and prior to the expiration of a temporary Massachusetts DPH Radiologic Technologist Radiography (Full/General) license.
