Overview

Provides health care services to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Performs radiographic procedures and related techniques, producing images for interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner.

• Knowledge of radiographic procedures, equipment operation, radiation safety, positioning techniques, patient transfers.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects.
• Ethical and professional conduct.
• Good understanding of age‑related developmental issues of pediatrics and geriatrics.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed, on‑call duty, weekend rotations.
• Interest in participating in orientation/clinical education of student radiographers in accordance with clinical education center guidelines for radiologic technology program(s).

• Graduate of Certificate Program in Radiography or Associate in Science Degree.
• Certification by ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) in radiography.
• Licensure by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in Radiography.
• For recent radiologic technology graduate only: ARRT registered certification eligibility in Radiography with RT(R); must obtain registered certification within 12 months of hire and prior to the expiration of a temporary Massachusetts DPH Radiologic Technologist Radiography (Full/General) license.
• BLS required.

Pay Range: $31.49 - $46.27 per hour.
