Medical Assistant
Pride Health is hiring Medical Assistant (certified) to support our client's hospital facility in Boston, MA. This is a 13‑week contract.
Shift Time: 8‑hour shifts
Location: Boston, MA 02114
Pay Range: $21 – $26/hour
General summary:
Under the supervision of the Practice Manager(s) and the Administrative Manager(s) the medical assistant is responsible for ensuring efficient patient flow while maintaining the highest level of patient safety, patient care, patient satisfaction, and clinician satisfaction. Promotes patient satisfaction by interacting with patients in a professional and courteous manner; consistent with patients’ need. Demonstrates the highest level of integrity, respect, and maintains patient confidentiality.
Contributes to an overall optimal patient experience.
- Active participation in patient care including rooming patients, taking blood pressures, performing EKGs, recording patient vitals in EPIC.
- Performs other procedures as determined relevant to the individual patient and transports patient to ER, if needed.
- Overall responsibility for the flow of the providers’ patient care sessions. Provide needed information to the front desk staff concerning the workflow in the patient care area and keep the provider informed of any issues that affect the efficiency of the clinical flow.
- Accurately use the Ambulatory Patient Tracking system.
- Demonstrate a strong sense of shared responsibility to maintain a clean environment by ensuring exam rooms and phlebotomy area are clean and appropriately stocked with supplies daily.
- Maintain clinical equipment, including EKG machines, daily transmission of EKG recordings, and monthly calibration of scales.
- Medical Assistant Certification required.
- BLS Certified required.
- EKG Certified required.
- Minimum of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
Minimum of 3‑5 years Medical Assistant experience required. Strong phlebotomy skills required.
