Join a respected community hospital that's part of one of New England's leading academic health systems, offering the rare opportunity to lead a tight-knit pharmacy team while living in one of the region's most sought-after peaceful communities. This is a working Director of Pharmacy role, blending hands-on clinical practice (60-80% direct patient care) with departmental leadership (20-40% administrative depending on the day) — ideal for a pharmacist who wants to stay clinically engaged while shaping pharmacy strategy.
You'll oversee a stable, experienced team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, manage the department's clinical, financial, and regulatory operations, and serve as a key partner to hospital and health-system leadership on enterprise-wide pharmacy initiatives.
Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (PharmD preferred) and an active or eligible pharmacist license in the state. A minimum of 5 years of pharmacy management experience is required (can be in non-hospital settings, however) and candidates with strong retail pharmacy leadership backgrounds or a PGY2 in Pharmacy Administration will also be considered. Ideal candidates will possess the ability to balance day-to-day operations with long-range strategic thinking and hands on patient care.
Familiarity with Epic and Omnicell is a plus.
