Schedule:
Per diem (4-8 hours per week), Hybrid or Remote
JOB SUMMARY:
The Psychiatry and PCP Liaison generates and facilitates clinical training content to build the knowledge, comfort, and confidence of pediatric primary care providers in addressing behavioral health needs. This role plans curriculum and leads Learning Community activities, including foundational trainings, case consultations, and team-based care sessions, and fields consultation calls from providers seeking guidance on patient care and behavioral health management.
The clinician systematically reviews existing training curriculum to ensure it reflects current evidence and addresses emerging needs in pediatric healthcare, and leads specialized training for residents, fellows, and other medical providers entering the field.
This role also provides programmatic consultation and technical guidance to partner clinical practices to support operational integration, delivers thought leadership on integrated clinical care roles and behavioral health innovations, and contributes to the ongoing growth of the training menu and offerings. Operating under general direction and collaborating closely with the TEAM UP Center clinical training and implementation teams, this clinical role bridges specialized pediatric psychiatry and community-based primary care.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:- Generate and Facilitate Training (15%):
Designs and delivers clinical training content utilizing evidence-based pediatric behavioral health practices to build the clinical knowledge, comfort, and capacity of pediatric primary care providers within partner healthcare organizations. - Lead Learning Communities (15%):
Plans curriculum and facilitates structured Learning Community activities, including foundational pediatric primary care trainings, case consultations, and multidisciplinary team-based care sessions in coordination with the clinical training team. - Provide Clinical Consultations (15%):
Fields, triage, and responds to clinical consultation calls from external primary care providers seeking expert psychiatric and behavioral health management guidance for pediatric patient care. - Conduct Curriculum Reviews (15%):
Reviews and updates existing training curricula systematically to ensure materials reflect the most current clinical evidence base and address emerging clinical and operational trends within pediatric healthcare. - Support Workforce Development (10%):
Promotes workforce development initiatives by leading specialized clinical training and seminars tailored for medical residents, fellows, and other early-career healthcare providers entering the pediatric field. - Deliver Technical Guidance (10%):
Provides clinical programmatic consultation and technical integration guidance to partner clinical practices to support the operational scaling and execution of integrated behavioral health workflows. - Contribute Thought Leadership (10%):
Delivers clinical thought leadership to the implementation team and the broader TEAM UP Center regarding integrated clinical care roles, healthcare landscape trends, and pediatric behavioral health innovations. - Support Program Scaling (10%):
Contributes to organization-wide scaling initiatives by identifying training gaps and expanding the reach, menu options, and clinical offerings of the training program.

JOB REQUIREMENTS REQUIREDEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Psychiatrist (MD or DO) or Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurse (PMH-APRN) with a minimum of 3 years post-training experience working in the field with pediatric populations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience with the community health center and pediatric primary care and integrated behavioral health landscape.
REQUIRED:
- Active, unrestricted medical or advanced practice nursing license in Massachusetts (or an active license in another state with the immediate eligibility to obtain licensure in Massachusetts)
- Clinical & Healthcare Systems Knowledge:
Deep understanding of clinical roles, responsibilities, and operational dynamics within integrated healthcare teams, alongside a strong grasp of healthcare systems structures and emerging trends within the broader healthcare landscape. - Comprehensive Communication & Interpersonal
Skills:
Advanced written and verbal English communication skills (including grammar, editing, and proofreading) coupled with the strong interpersonal skills necessary to handle confidential information, communicate organizational policies, and interact professionally with diverse internal and external personnel. - Autonomy & Problem-Solving:
