Sr Medical Affairs Specialist- FTC

Job Summary

We’re seeking a Senior Medical Affairs Specialist to join us on a fixed-term 12 months maternity cover contract. We’re looking for someone with experience in HCP Professional Education and/or clinical in-field activities, who will work closely with cross-functional partners to support clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and effective HCP communication.

Our Medical Affairs department supports this mission by providing medical expertise to inform product research and development, evidence generation and dissemination, key opinion leader (KOL) engagement, and medical education. The Medical Affairs Specialist will lead key deliverables to support core department functions and corporate objectives.

• Develop and execute professional education programs for healthcare providers that cadence with new products, indications, and claims (e.g. webinars, podcasts, learning management system, etc.).
• Effectively communicate the clinical value of Insulet’s line of products to external audiences.
• Strategize and execute plans for International scientific conferences (presentations, reports, Medical Information booth).
• Ensure processing of external communications (e.g. medical information inquiries, promotional materials) are medically and scientifically accurate, meet compliance standards and adhere to all applicable, regional regulations, and industry guidelines.
• Analyze evidence related to diabetes therapies, standards of care, and technologies to inform product development and commercial strategies.
• Maintain clinical quality standards by ensuring procedures reflect current practices and initiatives align with set standards.

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in health-related science and/or healthcare credentials (RN, RD, etc.).
• An advanced graduate degree is highly desired (PharmD, MSc).
• 2+ years of relevant experience in a clinical, industry, or research setting is required.
• Clinical or scientific background related to diabetes disease state and devices is preferred.
• Industry experience in Medical Information, Clinical Research, Medical Science, or Medical Education departments is desirable.

• Experience with deciphering clinical evidence and translating key points to diverse audiences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong collaborative and cross-cultural skills to work cooperatively between several internal and external teams globally.

• Able to thrive in a fast‑paced, multitasking environment and effectively prioritize project timelines.
• History of strong clinical practice in both industry and non‑industry settings.
• Familiarity with regulatory and healthcare compliance guidelines/policies.
• Skilled in medical communication towards diverse audience groups.
• Self‑driven, regularly meets or exceeds expectations.
• Working knowledge of relevant software programs [e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Products, Medical Communication tools (Medical Information CRM, Promotional Material Review))].
• High ethical standards which apply to interactions with HCPs, payers, and industry representative.
