Outpatient Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Ready to practice orthopedics in a pure outpatient setting with the quality-of-life schedule you've been looking for? An established outpatient orthopedic practice in the Fall River, MA area wants you on their team of board-certified joint, shoulder, and hand specialists! This is a 100% outpatient role with a strong referral base, full on-site support, and zero hospital duties!

Schedule

  • Monday-Friday, no nights, weekends, or hospital duties
  • Full-time preferred; four days (32 hours) per week will be considered
  • Fully onsite, outpatient only (this is not a remote or hybrid role)

Compensation

  • $145,000 annually (up to $70/hour), based on experience

What You'll Do
Hands-on evaluation and management of adult orthopedic referrals in a busy outpatient office, with some care delivered by telemedicine or patient portal:

  • Focused history and physical exams
  • Documentation and order writing
  • Prescribing medications, orthopedic devices, and appliances
  • Splinting and casting
  • Management of traumatic or surgical wounds
  • Evaluating imaging, surgical reports, and other test results
  • Minor procedures like joint aspiration or injection, based on your training and experience

What You Bring

  • Active Massachusetts NP or PA license
  • Valid DEA certificate and Massachusetts controlled substances registration
  • Experienced NP/PA preferred, but a strong recent grad who works confidently and independently is absolutely encouraged to apply!
  • Orthopedic or musculoskeletal background a plus
  • Comfort with EHR systems and great communication skills
