- Cleans lodging guest rooms, corridors, stairways, facilities, and other assigned lodging areas.
- Clean and maintain floors (sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, waxing, polishing) using appropriate equipment.
- Dusts, waxes, and polishes furniture; cleans and sanitizes guest room appliances, cookware, dishes; empties wastebaskets; polishes fixtures.
- Washes walls, windows, blinds; makes beds and changes linen; handles linen storage and delivery.
- Updates room status, occupancy, and checkouts; cleans and sanitizes lavatories, urinals, and toilets; cleans mirrors, sinks, and water fountains.
- Dusts ledges, woodwork, and furniture; restocks toiletries and sundry items; notes facility conditions and reports issues to supervisor.
- Maintains stock of cleaning materials and equipment; advises supervisor when more materials or repairs are needed.
- Clean public areas (bathroom, lobby, corridors, lounges, stairwells) and guestrooms, kitchens, and laundry facilities.
- Responsible for daily washing, drying, folding, and storage of towels, washcloths, bathmats, shower curtains, and related items.
- Checks rooms for left-behind items and stores them securely with name, room number, and date if applicable.
- Stocks housekeeping carts and assists with inventory control and linen replenishment as deliveries occur.
- Installs cribs, port-a-cribs, or roll-a-ways in guestrooms as needed.
- Follows safety regulations and uses required safety equipment; reports workplace hazards, injuries, or property damage to supervisor.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum
:
Preferred (in addition to the minimum):
- Previous housekeeping experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- USCG Community Services Command comprehensive benefits including paid annual and sick leave, holiday pay, pension plan, 401k, life insurance, disability coverage, and tuition assistance.
- Residency requirements and work authorization details as required for DHS positions.
- Direct Deposit/EDT required for payroll and travel purposes.
- Selective Service registration requirements where applicable.

- Relatives in the chain of command restriction may apply.
