Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Human Resources Coordinator to support a variety of HR functions, including recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, compliance, payroll support, and employee engagement. This role reports directly to the Director of Human Resources and plays a key role in ensuring HR operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new hires
  • Conduct background checks and employment eligibility verifications
  • Respond to employee and applicant inquiries and provide HR support
  • Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, billing reconciliation, and COBRA
  • Prepare and manage leave of absence paperwork (FMLA, ADA, etc.)
  • Support payroll processing and maintain employee records within Paylocity HRIS
  • Maintain job descriptions, training records, and compliance documentation
  • Assist with workers' compensation claims, OSHA logs, unemployment claims, and employment verifications
  • Support employee engagement, recognition, and culture initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Assist with HR programs related to performance management, employee relations, training, and development
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 2 years of Human Resources experience
  • Experience with full-cycle recruiting
  • Knowledge of employment laws, workers' compensation, FMLA, ADA, and OSHA
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience with HRIS systems (Paylocity experience preferred)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
