The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for supporting day-to-day HR operations and providing comprehensive human resources support across the organization. This role focuses on employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, performance management, onboarding, and HR policy implementation while promoting a positive and productive workplace culture. Experience with ADP Workforce Now is required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Employee Relations:- Serve as a primary point of contact for employees’ questions regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits
- Assist with resolving employee concerns and workplace issues in a professional and confidential manner
- Support employee engagement, retention, and recognition initiatives
- Promote a positive and inclusive work environment
- Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation processes
- Maintain employee personnel files and HR documentation within ADP Workforce Now
- Ensure completion of required onboarding paperwork and compliance documents
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and questions
- Coordinate with payroll to ensure accurate employee information, timekeeping records, and system updates within ADP
- Support leave administration including FMLA, ADA, workers’ compensation, and other leave programs
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Maintain accurate HR records, reports, and employee data within HRIS systems
- Generate reports and support audits using ADP Workforce Now
- Assist with policy development, implementation, and employee handbook updates
- Assist managers with performance review processes and employee development planning
- Coordinate employee training and professional development programs
- Track required certifications, trainings, and compliance requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 2–5 years of HR experience preferred
- Experience using ADP Workforce Now required
- Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Ability to sit, stand, and use office equipment for extended periods
- Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds may be required
- Office work environment depending on company needs
- Standard business hours with occasional additional hours as needed
