Associate Director of Human Resources

• Master's degree preferred
• Five or more years Human Resources experience in public education or public sector preferred
• Demonstrate successful administrative leadership experience. Excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills
• Supervisor/Director license from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education preferred
• Knowledge of HR functions and HRIS applications preferred
• Demonstrate skills in conflict resolution, contract negotiations and labor relations

• Under the direction of the Executive Director of Human Resources, the Associate Director will share the following duties and responsibilities:
• Implement a system of data collection to support District efforts for recruitment and retention
• Seek grant funding focused on growing our teaching staff from within and manage awarded grants
• Assist with the creation of recruitment materials, organize job fairs, and attend recruitment fairs
• Seek grant funding focused on growing our teaching staff from within and manage awarded grants
• Communicate with institutes of higher education to coordinate pre-practicums and to assign student teachers
• Conduct investigations and assist administrators in matters of employee discipline and documentation
• Serve as a Title IX investigator and participate in ongoing trainings in Title IX
• Plan for and direct the District's employee and labor relations activities and collective bargaining, to promote a strong collaborative working relationship across all organizations and employees
• Provide guidance and support to administrators across all District departments in matters of employee relations
• Maintain knowledge of state and federal policies, programs, laws and issues, and coordinate the integration of all such programs
• Oversee and process leaves of absence in accordance with applicable Collective Bargaining Agreements, FMLA, PWFA, and other applicable laws and regulations
• Monitor compliance with licensure for all certified staff
• Work with the Human Resources Team to update and improve internal processes, digitize records, and automate employee onboarding
• Assist with the supervision and evaluation of all staff
• Assist with the CORI and Fingerprint approval process
• Complete all other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Director of Human Resources

The Superintendent of Schools reserves the right to waive a position qualification or determine that there is an acceptable alternative to that qualification. If the Superintendent intends to waive a qualification, such intent will be shared with the Fall River School Committee.
