About the RoleBig Rio is seeking a Business Analyst with deep experience in clinical platform on the provider side to support a US healthcare client. This role is ideal for someone who understands the full clinical data lifecycle and has worked closely with EMR/EHR systems, clinical workflow software, and integration teams. You'll serve as the bridge between clinicians, product owners, and engineering teams to drive the development of interoperable and scalable solutions that align with healthcare compliance and patient care goals.
Key Responsibilities- Lead requirements gathering and functional design for enhancements to clinical platforms (EMR/EHR systems, LIMS, CDSS, and patient data repositories).
- Collaborate with engineering teams to support the design and implementation of ETL pipelines, clinical data APIs, and integration modules.
- Document and map clinical workflows and ensure platform alignment with real-world provider and lab practices.
- Develop test cases and support UAT for clinical application functionality, especially related to data accuracy and compliance.
- Support product road mapping efforts by identifying feature gaps and prioritizing based on clinical value.
- 5+ years as a Business Analyst in healthcare/clinical technology environments.
- Direct experience with clinical platforms such as Epic, Cerner, Meditech, Athenahealth, or similar.
- Deep understanding of clinical workflows, medical terminology, and regulatory documentation standards.
- Familiarity with data lakes, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP), and modern data warehousing tools.
- Experience using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Postman, and Swagger.
- Experience in US healthcare product development or consulting environments is a major plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to translate complex clinical requirements into clear technical documentation.
- Collaborative, self-driven, and comfortable working with cross-functional global teams.
