Senior Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect

Project Summary

AIS is supporting a federal customer with a program focused on architecture and infrastructure.

• Responsible for new cloud architecture design, development and integration of new architectural features into existing cloud infrastructures while maintaining the integrity and security of enterprise-wide cyber systems and networks.
• Lead multi-disciplined teams in the design and implementation of cybersecurity system architecture.
• Apply cyber security standards, directives, guidance and policies to a cloud architectural framework.
• Compile industry best practices and lessons learned into future iterations and new designs for the cloud hosting environment.
• Provide broad-based experience in the systems engineering lifecycle and specific cyber security initiatives related to cloud architectural design and development.
• Resolve cloud architecture implementation issues during integration and test.
• Interface with internal and external entities for various solution-related activities.
• Develop and deliver end-to-end, complex, enterprise-level solutions that meet current and future capability requirements.
• Act as an emerging authority who applies extensive technical expertise.
• Develop technical solutions to complex problems.
• Exercise considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment.

• Align infrastructure strategy to business goals, lead large projects, apply compliance frameworks, design high-availability/disaster recovery and performance optimization patterns, and shape deployment pipeline design.
• Direct cross-team programs, perform advanced tuning, implement high-availability/failover architectures, lead audits, plan growth, and manage budgets.
• Deliver high-quality outcomes, set team standards, introduce innovative solutions, and make high-impact decisions.
• Lead the engineering team, develop talent, resolve conflicts, and communicate effectively with senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Provide high-level consulting to leadership, build roadmaps, negotiate vendor contracts, and sponsor innovation initiatives.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 8+ years of relevant experience supporting enterprise cloud and/or infrastructure environments.
• Certifications:
  
  IAT-2, 1 or more cloud certifications.
• Active Secret clearance.
• Experience working in regulated environments and following secure engineering/documentation practices.

• Experience supporting DoD/IC programs and mission systems.

Targeted base salary range: $121,000-$182,000 per year. The final offer will be based on skillset, competencies, level of experience, education, certifications, and location.
