AEM Architect

Position: AEM Architect

The AEM Architect will lead AEM platform implementations from design through production, acting as the technical lead and subject matter expert.

• Design and implement end‑to‑end Adobe Experience Manager solutions to meet business and technical requirements.
• Interface with client stakeholders, technical leads, and third‑party vendors to gather requirements and align on implementation strategies.
• Develop scalable, secure integration solutions connecting AEM with external systems such as CRMs, ERPs, and marketing automation platforms.
• Evaluate wireframes and design mockups for technical feasibility and recommend component‑based adjustments.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to both non‑technical and technical audiences.
• Ensure responsiveness and web accessibility (WCAG) across major browsers.
• Lead Agile activities – sprint planning, stand‑ups, retrospectives – and drive project delivery without micromanagement.
• Prepare detailed project proposals, estimates, timelines, resources, and cost projections.
• Maintain thorough documentation and conduct code reviews to align with coding best practices.
• Mentor AEM developers and foster best‑practice knowledge sharing.
• Establish and maintain integration standards for high‑performance, scalable AEM solutions.
• Design workflows for content creation, approval, and publishing, enforcing governance and security.
• Collaborate with Dev Ops to set up CI/CD pipelines and manage deployment processes.
• Monitor milestones, report progress, and adjust plans to meet project goals.

• Minimum 5 years of experience developing with AEM Sites & Assets (6.3 or higher).
• Minimum 3 years of architecting enterprise‑grade CMS implementations.
• Experience building sites using AEM CMS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, or Vue.
• Proficient in creating custom AEM components and templates.
• Strong knowledge of Java, HTTP, and REST APIs.
• Experience with Bit Bucket, Git Hub, Jira, and Confluence.
• Experience with AMS hosting platform and AEM Cloud Service.
• Familiarity with Adobe Commerce and other Adobe Experience Cloud products is beneficial.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time‑management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting and technical support skills.
• Experience with agile methodologies and ticket‑based tracking systems.
• Knowledge of cross‑browser compatibility and accessibility standards.
• Adobe AEM certifications are beneficial but not required.

Relevant experience and technical certifications in AEM or related fields are preferred.

Annual salary range: $113,000 - $182,562.

USA – Remote (Massachusetts). Flexible hybrid arrangements may apply. One day per week in office may be required for certain hubs.
