Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Buyer to join our manufacturing team. The Buyer will be responsible for sourcing and procuring electronic components, mechanical parts, and manufacturing supplies while ensuring cost-effective purchasing, quality standards, and timely delivery. This role works closely with engineering, production, and suppliers to support operational and business objectives.

Responsibilities

Source and procure electronic components, mechanical parts, and manufacturing supplies.
Develop supplier strategies and negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms.
Monitor supplier performance, including cost, quality, and delivery metrics.
Resolve material shortages, delivery delays, and supply chain issues.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and other departments to understand material requirements and specifications.
Maintain accurate information within the ERP system, including pricing, part numbers and supplier records

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of five (5) years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of electronic and mechanical components.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Epicor.
Familiarity with Bills of Materials (BOMs), Material Requirements Planning (MRP), and technical drawings is preferred.
Knowledge of ISO standards and quality management systems is a plus.
APICS, CPIM, CPSM, or similar professional certification preferred.
Understanding of supply chain principles and lean manufacturing practices is preferred.

Pay

Up to $35.00 per hour based on experience

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
