Job Description
The Split Week 3rd Shift Custodial Supervisor leads and manages (24 of 81 total) 3rd shift weekday custodians and seven split week custodians.
In addition oversees and directs multiple overtime staff on the weekends and will normally be the Custodial Services manager on duty during the 3rd shift on weekends. They will direct and manage staff on the effective and efficient cleaning of Administrative, Academic and Athletic facilities.
They may be called upon to respond to and manage facilities emergencies and report to senior managers to coordinate additional responses if necessary.
They are responsible for the morale, training and development of their entire team and will continuously review staffing, performance and hire new staff. They will monitor and approve payroll daily. They will manage, create and complete work orders using a work order system. They are responsible for the ordering of custodial supplies for the 3rd shift. Must demonstrate a proven ability to administer multiple projects and ability to meet deadlines.
This position requires strong interpersonal and analytical skills, including the demonstrable ability to make sound decisions based on available information.
- Associate’s Degree or higher is preferred, or equivalent combination of education and five or more years of in‑house lead work experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years lead/supervisory experience in custodial management, preferably in a college or university setting.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Word and Excel is required. Familiarity with a work order management system and Kronos is preferred.
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license. This is a driving position requiring verification of a valid driver’s license, a DMV driving record and compliance with university guidelines regarding insurability.
- Full‑time equivalent hiring range: $62,350 to $77,950; salary commensurate with relevant experience.
