Position: Manager Distribution Operations - 974

Manager provides operational direction and leadership to all associates supporting the Stop & Shop supply chain requirements.

Responsibilities

Assist in maintaining full P&L responsibilities for the designated distribution center.

Encourages and enables personal and professional growth of DC management and hourly associates.

Help set the strategic vision and direction for distribution center operations and seeks ways to improve business processes, operational disciplines, overall efficiency, and, most importantly, store service.

Leads an environment and culture of high safety and sanitation standards.

Works directly with the Warehouse Lead Director, Warehouse Director and Vice President of Distribution to identify and successfully manage infrastructure and business process changes within the supply chain organization, including new stores, new products, schedule changes, facility upgrades and expansions, alternate supply chain methodologies, etc.

Essential Functions

Maintains P&L responsibility for the designated Distribution Center.

Develops, modifies, and/or enhances distribution center business processes to optimize store service and cost.

Ensures that the designated facility is operating within Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations. Responds quickly and appropriately to requests from any governmental agency in order to keep facility compliant with the applicable codes.

Works with operational managers to maintain necessary records in an organized and accurate manner, keeping Sanitation and Safety at "top of mind".

Leads the personal and professional development of management and hourly associates, ensuring the ongoing evolution of strong training programs and opportunities for associates to take advantage of them.

Works directly with the Warehouse Lead Manager, Warehouse Director and Vice President of Distribution to identify, initiate, and coordinate strategic system and business process changes within supply chain.

Maintains high performing operating results by using KPIs as benchmarks.

Establishes and maintains a culture of open, honest communication, and shared concern for well-being and respect of all Distribution associates.

Encourages opportunities for participation, collaboration, and teamwork at all levels within the Distribution organization.

Meets periodically with Merchandising, Procurement, Information Technology, Accounting and leaders within Ahold Delhaize operating companies to keep in sync with sales plans, system upgrades, forecasts, and accurate financial reporting.

Leads modeling and pilot efforts within the company to support Ahold Delhaize Supply Chain programs, works with managers within the team to execute new systems or best-practice operational changes to generate learning and ideas for future implementations.

Interfaces well in verbal and written form with all levels of the company.

Shift: 3rd Shift position.

Weekend work required.

Salary range: $106,480 - $159,720, commensurate with background, experience and internal equity.
