Director, MA Project Development - Community Solar | Boston, MA | $160,000 – $190,000 DOE + Bonus
The Role:
As Director, MA Project Development you will act as the point person for leading the development of greenfield community solar & BESS projects across Massachusetts, from site acquisition through to COD. You will work closely with local utilities, municipalities and project stakeholders to navigate projects through the full development lifecycle, making the most of the SMART incentive program, and utilizing your broad development understanding across permitting, interconnection, project management and project finance.

Utilize knowledge of permitting, interconnection, project management and project finance to optimize project outcomes.
Must Haves- 5+ years experience developing community (DG) solar & BESS projects.
- A well-rounded solar project development background with exposure across real estate, permitting, and interconnection.
- A strong understanding of SMART regulations & incentives in Massachusetts.
- Good comprehension of underwriting and modeling; ability to assess how changes in lease rates or other variables impact project economics.
- MBA or advanced degree would be a plus.
- Growing company with strong PE backing and a clear growth plan through 2026 and 2027.
