Looking for a Collections Systems Supervisor in our Fall River, MA plant.

Collection Systems Department to ensure the safe, reliable, efficient, and compliant operation and maintenance of the sanitary sewer collection system, stormwater collection system, combined sewer overflow (CSO) facilities, pumping stations, lift stations, flood control facilities, and associated municipal infrastructure.

The Collection System Supervisor is responsible for the day‑to‑day supervision of collection system personnel, coordinating field operations, scheduling preventative and corrective maintenance activities, overseeing emergency response operations, managing work orders, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fulfilling the Company's contractual obligations with the City of Fall River.

Working under the direction of the Collection System Manager, the Collection System Supervisor serves as the primary field supervisor for the Collection Systems Department and assists the Collection System Manager with departmental planning, personnel development, budgeting, regulatory compliance, capital improvement planning, and operational objectives.

The Collection System Supervisor may be required to assist Operations personnel, Maintenance personnel, City departments, regulatory agencies, contractors, and management during emergencies, capital improvement projects, weather events, regulatory inspections, and other operational activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supervises, schedules, assigns, and evaluates the daily work of Collection System personnel including but not limited to sewer cleaning, jetting, vacuuming, bypass pumping, CCTV inspections, catch basin cleaning, sewer repairs, manhole rehabilitation, and emergency response activities.
  • Oversees confined space entry, excavation safety, trench protection, traffic control, lockout/tagout, fall protection, and other safety programs.
  • Coordinates Dig Safe notifications, utility mark‑outs, traffic control, police details, contractor coordination, and customer service requests.
  • Coordinates emergency repairs, emergency responses, and planned collection system maintenance projects.
  • Oversees inventory control, equipment availability, and purchasing requests related to collection system operations.
  • Oversees the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for collection system assets.
  • Reviews work orders for completeness, accuracy, and timely completion.
  • Establishes preventive maintenance schedules and equipment histories.
  • Provides leadership, coaching, mentoring, and technical guidance to assigned personnel.
  • Conducts employee performance evaluations, coaching sessions, disciplinary actions, and employee development activities in accordance with Company policies and the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Participates in hiring, interviewing, onboarding, promotions, and employee training.
  • Ensures adequate staffing for routine maintenance, emergency response, weather events, and on‑call assignments.
