EHS Director

• Provide comprehensive EHS leadership to all departments and employees
• Administer environmental, health and safety systems, policies, procedures, safety campaigns, and programs
• Create a culture of safety as a value
• Plan and implement safety policies and procedures compliant with local, state, and federal OSHA rules and regulations
• Develop and standardize effective EHS training and communication for employees and managers
• Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, programs, JHA, and annual individual safety program reviews
• Communicate health and safety issues, EHS performance, and compliance assessments to the Director of EHS and VP of EHS
• Conduct compliance audits and inspections
• Develop audit findings and verify completion of required follow-up
• Assess the safety, health, and environmental impact of new processes and equipment and formulate appropriate objectives
• Monitor EHS regulations, accepted standards, and reporting requirements and evaluate their effect on operations
• Participate in periodic audits and maintain internal assessments and inspections
• Implement, audit, and continually develop the focus site program
• Develop, evaluate, and maintain the knowledge center in the 4

• Perform additional tasks as assigned based on business needs
• Travel regularly
• Interview, hire, plan, assign, and direct work; conduct performance evaluations; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems
• Ensure employees are properly trained on tasks and safety requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management or a related field from a four-year college or university with 5-8 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal OSHA rules and regulations
• Ability to develop and standardize EHS training and communication
• Ability to develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, programs, and JHA reviews
• Ability to conduct compliance audits and inspections and verify follow-up
• Knowledge of EHS regulations, accepted standards, and reporting requirements
• Experience with internal assessments and inspections
• Experience implementing and auditing focus site programs

• Management and supervisory capabilities, including hiring, work direction, performance evaluations, discipline, complaint resolution, and problem-solving
• Ability to ensure employee training on tasks and safety requirements
• Regular travel required
• May be required to have a valid driver's license
