Key Responsibilities- Serve as the Voice of the Customer for the product line throughout its life cycle from initial concept creation to launch, and subsequent support of the product.
- Write business and product requirements documents and ensure clear communication and coordination of requirements to the business, design and development teams.
- Participate as a member of the core team during development, including research, requirements definition, metrics analysis, implementation, testing, and launch efforts.
- Work cross‑functionally to manage bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade‑offs, balance the business needs versus technical constraints, and maximize business benefit while building great customer experiences.
- Measure and analyze existing products for opportunities to innovate and improve, providing additional benefits to customers.
- Present confidently in a written format to Amazon senior management as well as other large audiences.
- Demonstrate deep understanding of the scientific research landscape, including research methodologies, common challenges in scientific workflows, and emerging trends in the scientific community to inform product decisions and effectively address researcher needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other technical degree or related experience.
- Experience working with engineering and product teams to define a product and bring it to market.
- 5+ years of product management experience.
- 5+ years of working directly with engineering teams.
- Experience delivering projects within scope, time, budget and quality.
- Experience working on product lines that span both software and hardware.
- Master’s degree or PhD.
- Experience delivering technology products or services in a high‑growth environment.
- Experience with AI/ML technologies.
- Experience working directly with engineers on product enhancements.
- Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement.
- Experience with high‑volume products such as consumer electronics.
- Experience working directly with scientists and engineers.
