Job Title:
Manufacturing / Machine Operator I & II
Location: Fall River, MA
Employment Type: Full-Time | 1st, 2nd & 3rd Shifts
Pay Range: $18 - $20/hr (based on experience)
Shift Differential: +$0.50/hr (2nd shift), +$0.75/hr (3rd shift)
Work Authorization: U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder
Reports To: Manufacturing Supervisor
Position OverviewWe are seeking dedicated Manufacturing/Machine Operators to support the production of Metered Dose Inhaler (MDI) pharmaceutical products. This position involves hands‑on operation of manufacturing equipment within a cGMP‑compliant environment to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality production.
Key Responsibilities- Dispense raw and packaging materials per work orders; verify lot numbers and quantities.
- Operate and monitor automated and semi-automated production and packaging machinery.
- Perform cleaning and sanitation of equipment and areas per SOPs.
- Accurately document all production activities in batch records and logbooks.
- Conduct line clearance and maintain proper status labelling throughout operations.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering for troubleshooting and calibration.
- Maintain inventory of tools, spare parts, and accessories.
- Support implementation of process improvements and corrective actions (CAPA).
- Ensure full cGMP, GDP, and SOP compliance at all times.
- Follow all Health & Safety and PPE requirements.
- Support cross‑functional activities such as packaging, warehouse, and facility operations (for Operator II).
- Participate in audits, training, and ongoing skill‑development programs.
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 - 15 years of manufacturing experience (preferably in pharmaceuticals or a regulated industry).
- Understanding of cGMP
, SOPs
, and documentation practices. - Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with production machinery.
- Strong communication, math, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Willingness to work rotating or extended shifts as needed.
Preferred:
- Experience in MDI manufacturing or inhalation product packaging.
- Knowledge of deviation, CAPA, change control, OOS/OOT procedures.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP.
- OSHA safety training or equivalent certification.
- Ability to stand, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- Lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs occasionally using proper handling aids.
- Wear required PPE (respirator, gloves, goggles, gowning) per SOPs.
- Ability to work in cleanroom or controlled environments.
