Machine Operator

Teufelberger Fiber Rope Corp. is looking for full-time Machine Operators to join our manufacturing team in Fall River, MA
.

Prior experience as a machine operator or experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus, but not required. We have training and mentoring accessible for you – We will show you the ropes!

• 1st Shift: 6:55 AM – 3:25 PM, Monday through Friday

$18.00 per hour

• Manufacture, assemble, and package fiber rope products.
• Align with business needs to reduce waste and improve quality, productivity, safety, and performance within the assigned cell.
• Ensure equipment runs according to the production schedule and is properly maintained after provided training.
• Practice safe work habits and adhere to PPE guidelines.
• Follow direction of the Group or Cell Leader and be cross-trained to operate all equipment.
• Assist in other areas of the facility as needed.
• Review product for defects or inconsistencies to meet stringent quality requirements.
• Work effectively in a team environment and perform cleaning and basic preventative maintenance of all equipment.
• Adhere to 5S practices at all times.
• Read production job specifications for machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Assist in repair and maintenance of machines as required.
• Document production information on tally sheets and record basic production entries.
• Understand basic mathematical principles and measurement processes.
• Notify Group Leader of non-conforming products or equipment problems.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly work area and provide accurate traceability to raw materials.
• Communicate production issues with the next shift Equipment Operator.
• Perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.

• Education:
  
  High School diploma or equivalent; ability to complete simple forms and understand written instructions. Ability to understand basic mechanical processes and equipment function principles.
• Equivalent combination of education and work-related experience may be acceptable.
• Read and write English; learn and perform basic SAP functions.
• Adapt and operate in an ever-changing environment.
• Experience in manufacturing processes is a plus.
• Physical Requirements:
  
  Sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, etc.
