Position DetailsThe Packout Lead is responsible for leading the Bulk/Retail Pack Out department in the efficient and accurate processing of divisional bulk/retail product. This third‑shift position requires strong leadership, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to processing efficiency and customer quality.
Pay range: $20.00–$20.50 per hour.
SummaryAs Packout Lead, you will guide, train, and lead your team to ensure accurate and efficient packaging of retail products, oversee departmental equipment operation, verify HACCP and GMP compliance, and maintain safety and quality standards.
Essential Duties- Guide, train, and lead the team for accurate and efficient packaging of retail products.
- Ensure continuous and efficient operation of all departmental processing equipment.
- Verify HACCP and internal GMP guidelines are followed and maintain product integrity throughout the pack‑out process.
- Direct multiple staff to handle varying production flows within the Pack Out Department.
- Adhere to and support all safety‑related programs and requirements.
- Create a positive work environment and act as a teacher and role model.
- Perform real‑time material usage validation and inventory control, meeting all specifications and guidelines.
- Communicate continuously with Production and Logistics to ensure successful processing.
- Follow pre‑established controls to ensure consistent processing and avoid manufacturing delays.
- Operate all equipment consistently within proven operating parameters, ensuring optimum production without compromising quality.
- Own and develop one’s own production line/process, including running, adjusting, breaking down, and reassembling equipment.
- Analyze and minimize downtime and inefficiencies, reporting findings to the Process Coordinator.
- Track, verify, and adjust efficiencies using designated paperwork/systems.
- Provide recommendations and solutions to improve process efficiency.
- Maintain accurate floor‑level inventory tracking and manage line product waste or hold status.
- Prevent and address line errors, downtime, and equipment issues, ensuring “your line, your equipment” accountability.
- Associate degree or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school, or 6 months to 1 year of related experience/training, or an equivalent combination.
- Excellent communication, strong computer skills, self‑motivated, safety conscious, detail oriented, and ambitious.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
