The Role
As Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for the overall performance of the manufacturing operation, ensuring production runs safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
You will provide leadership across Production, Quality, Shipping, Inventory, and Sourcing while working closely with the Production Manager to ensure production schedules, workflow, and customer delivery commitments are achieved.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing facility.
- Drive operational performance through KPI management and continuous improvement.
- Develop and mentor supervisors and operational teams.
- Partner with the Production Manager to ensure production schedules and capacity align with customer demand.
- Oversee inventory levels, production priorities, and workflow across departments.
- Champion a quality-first culture and support CAPA and corrective action activities.
- Lead shipping and order fulfilment to ensure customer delivery expectations are achieved.
- Identify production constraints and implement practical solutions to improve efficiency.
- Support long-term operational strategy, capacity planning, and business growth initiatives.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
We’re looking for an experienced manufacturing leader who enjoys building high-performing teams and taking ownership of plant operations.
Ideal experience includes:
- 7+ years of manufacturing or operations leadership experience.
- Experience leading multiple operational functions, including production, quality, supply chain, inventory, or logistics.
- Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, workflow management, and operational KPIs.
- Experience driving Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and develop people.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
- Experience with in aerospace, defense, precision manufacturing, or other technical manufacturing environments would be advantageous.
